Nicole Berman, a certified elementary childhood educator, along with admissions advisors who inform the curriculum and program.
Children participate as they would in a kindergarten playgroup during the admissions process. They play and engage with materials. Nicole observes their social-emotional behaviors and pulls students one-on-one to assess their pre-academic skills. She assesses motor and language functioning.
- Each child will receive a report detailing their activities during the session and providing recommendations on how the family can further support the student’s learning experience and successful outcomes for the private kindergarten process.
Up to four students are in each session.
The number of sessions depends on your family’s and child’s needs. We suggest at least three sessions to make progress. Additionally, children will usually need to work on skills outside of the sessions, and we can provide advice on how to do this.
Students can sign up for one-on-one tutoring and also work at home with family members on key skills.
The sessions include a mix of assessments for pre-academic, social-emotional, motor, and language functioning, tailored to various levels depending on the school your child is applying to
