Mary Miele, the founder and CEO of Evolved Education Company and Director of College Counseling, oversees the day-to-day business at Evolved and supports our clients and team. She is our company’s visionary and constantly evolves in every aspect of her professional and personal life. With over 30 years in education, she rests on a foundation of exceptional training and preparedness.
Mary is an undergraduate and graduate student at Steinhardt School of Education and was a four-year student-athlete, holding a roster and captain spot on the Women’s Swim Team at NYU. Mary has also taught in the NYC DOE, at Hunter College, and various independent schools in NYC, including Hewitt, Spence, and Nightingale Schools.
Mary is the creator of the Integrated Executive Functioning Model and the author of many publications. She is also the host of the Be Evolved Podcast, where she shares insights on education and learning support. She is an active member of WBENC and a supporter of women and mothers in business.

As Director of Student Services, Amy Nathan brings over thirteen years of experience teaching upper elementary, middle, and high school students. With a background in teaching reading and writing to students with language-based learning disabilities and curriculum development, Amy believes in using evidence-based approaches and multisensory instruction in teaching. Amy has also worked as an instructional coach for educators and believes that developing a strong relationship between teachers and students is the key to fostering success. She oversees executive function coaching, test prep, and subject area tutoring, appreciating each client’s needs and matching them with the best fit tutor.

With over fifteen years of experience in the field of education, Becky Reback has worn many hats at Evolved Education. Currently, Becky is the Director of Assessments, using the most updated and research-based assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for growth to help both families and educators understand how that student learns best and tailor instruction accordingly. Becky also works as a school placement advisor and specializes in helping families find the right educational fit for their children. With an understanding of both private and public school systems, curricula, and student needs, Becky works closely with families to assess academic, social, and emotional requirements, guiding them through the placement process. Becky has taught all grades from kindergarten to eighth grade in the classroom in both general and special education settings, and has also worked as a learning specialist and school administrator.

Spencer coaches students on executive functioning skills — planning, organization, focus — and prepares them for standardized tests. He blends accountability with empathy, meeting students where they are.
Caitlin Hasson helps families navigate educational decisions and school placement, drawing on ten years of teaching experience in New York City independent schools. Her work with students, families, and admissions teams has provided valuable insight into how children learn and thrive in different educational environments. Through her experience in both the classroom and the admissions process, Caitlin has developed a nuanced understanding of school culture, child development, and the factors that contribute to a strong fit. She works closely with families to identify educational settings where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally, helping them navigate each step of the placement process with clarity and confidence.

arah Bergin is the Director of College Consulting at Evolved Education Company, bringing over 15 years of experience guiding students and families through one of the most important journeys of their lives — the college process. A Brown University graduate and Choate alumna, Sarah offers a rare insider’s perspective on both elite higher education and competitive admissions, having also held leadership roles at institutions like Kent School and Sacred Heart Greenwich, where she served as Upper School Dean of Students. At Evolved, Sarah works with students from 9th grade through senior year, helping them build standout applications, craft compelling essays, navigate financial aid, and make thoughtful, right-fit college decisions. She supports students across every stage of the process — from freshman course selection and extracurricular planning to summer program guidance, college list strategy, and interview preparation. Known for her ability to reduce stress and bring clarity to an often overwhelming process, Sarah meets each student where they are and builds a personalized roadmap that reflects their unique strengths, interests, and goals. She also supports students with SAT/ACT prep, AP coursework, executive function coaching, and boarding school placement when needed.
