If you could have one super power would you choose to remember everything visual that you see or to remember everything verbal that you hear?
Maybe what you choose is your weaker aspect of memory, because it would be nice to have that superpower!
Do you remember words, names, places, stories, and text?
Or
Do you recall pictures, places, landscapes, movies, people’s faces?
The way you remember has a lot to do with how your brain works.
Visual Memory
A visual memory involves tying visuals to what you need to recall. Visuals can be in the form of pictures, but also colors and symbols.
Verbal Memory
When using verbal memory, content that is recalled uses words. A person with a strong verbal memory can retell a narrative story or the steps for an experiment using many words and details.
If you are curious about which memory is stronger for you, you can take a Mindprint Learning Assessment and have an Evolved Education Company Debrief to learn more about how your brain works. Sign up here.Â
